Maredo Steak House. Horst and Carola.
12 August
After the Guinness Storehouse Tour we went back to our AirB&B and grabbed our bags and took the AirLink bus to the airport.
Horst picked us up from Bremen Airport and took us to our Plenus Hotel in Rembertistrasse. His friend Carola is staying with him this week. We met them at 8pm for dinner at Maredo Steakhouse. Ron and I had rib eye medium cooked. It was so tender and juicy. Fabulous! The salad bar is terrific too.

We were supposed to catch up with Charlotte Bazley Cavelle and Axel today in Buchholz. However she was not available so we toured Bremen instead.
Firstly, we had breakfast at Cafe Celona in Marktplatz then we dropped into Margret & Jochen Heck's for coffee and to do our washing. We had Bratwurst im Brot for lunch. Then a walk around Bremen to the St Petri Dom, the Rathaus, pose with the Bremen Minstrels statue, Roland Statue in Marktplatz then off to Bottcherstrasse, the Schnoor, the Railway Station. The Bürgerschaft (State Parliament) building was controversial when built. Designed in 1966 by the architect Wassili Luckhardt. It is a different design to the other buildings in the square.

Back to the Heck's for coffee and cake.
