Blueberry picking at Ritterhude near Lilienthal, Lower Saxony.
Fabulous breakfast. Off to Ritterhude for blueberry picking. I think we all ate more than we picked. It cost 7 Euros for 2 baskets.
A nice drive through countryside and villages to Fischerhude to the magnificent Haus Berkelmann restaurant.
Ron and I ate duck with orange sauce, red cabbage, dumplings and stewed pear with cranberries and Horst ate beef Rouladen with mashed potato and red cabbage.
We went for a 10km forest walk outside of Fischerhude near Hexenburg. This trail is also part of the Santiago Camino trail. Everyone was out cycling and some even horse riding. The use of bicycles in Northern Germany is inspiring.
Back to Berkelmann Restaurant for Zwetschgen Kuchen mit Sahne und Kaffee.
Back home to Schwachhausen. A restful evening drinking Czech beer.
