31 August
Another 14km to Najera. Our destination for today. Logrono to Najera 29km. Not many pilgrims this time of year compared to April - July. We did walk some parts with pilgrims from England, Germany, New Zealand, Italy and Romania. Even a couple walking with their dog.

We arrived about 5:45pm. Showered and settled into our Hostal Hispano. A lovely hostel and fabulous kind and friendly host.

Headed out for dinner at 7:30pm. Only Tapas available at that time. Dinner does not start to be served until 8pm.

The playground was packed with children at 7:30pm while the parents had Tapas and beer or wine. This is Spanish Night life. Siesta in the afternoon. Socialising and family time 7-9pm. Dinner at 9pm.

A fabulous day. I am so happy to be here.

1 September
Day 2 of our Camino trek.

Went down to breakfast at 8:15am. A better start today. We walked around the old city. We saw the Parroquia de la Santa Cruz Church from the 17th Century. It was not open for viewing. We followed the Camino path to the Monastery Santa Maria la Real. An impressive building from 1052.

We left Najera to start our 20km trek.
