Katrin prepared the most amazing breakfast. She makes her own muesli with fresh fruit. We had assorted breads, cut meats, cheeses, homemade jam, boiled eggs.
Wolfgang accompanied us on the train from Feucht to Ellwangen. He then continued on. Otto collected us from the railway station and we went to lunch at Kronprinzen Wirtschaft in Ellwangen. Then back to Otto's for coffee and cake. Otto made a Zwetschgen Kuchen mit Sahne. Delicious! One of my favourites.
We chatted in the afternoon and learnt about caring for glasshouse produce. Otto gave Ron some very valuable tips. Vesper for dinner with home grown tomatoes and cucumber.
Then settled in for a night of drinking German wine.
21 August
The next day we drove to Giengen an der Brenz to the Steiff Bear Museum.
In the evening Hedwig and Jürgen came for dinner.
