Went to the white temple which was stunning! It glistened in the sun. It was unique because the story told inside involved superheroes and fictional characters like Pokémon as well as elvis and Micheal Jackson. Very different 😂 the entrance which is hell also had wolverine and the terminators hands poking out. The eyes of the devil inside had George bush and bin laden in them and then there was a picture of the twin towers on fire. Very controversial! You can’t take pictures inside which was a shame. Dad would probably have liked this type of temple 😂 we then went to the blue temple which was ok.
Then we went to the black house which was an art place. The guy was obsessed with willies 😂
Had lunch and got talking to the couple o bc my tour, they’re lovely! Irish and English and met on a contiki style trip to the philipines. They was in the same pub as me last night! We went to a tea plantation and can confirm I still don’t like tea.
Also went to long neck village and bought a cute bracelet.
We went to the opium museum and it was hilarious,basically teaching you what to do haha went to the golden triangle also which is where they did most drug deals! Myanmar Laos and Thailand all meet at the river. then I met Jess in the evening for some dinner :)
Messaged the accommodation again for the slow boat as they hadn’t replied abd they said the nice one is sold out so now I’m stressing trying to figure out what to do as all trips go from here, but I’ll already be in Laos. SOS as I don’t want to do cattle class it looks awful! Gonnna ask the hotel if I can book and pick up with the group the other side.
