/ Two Bullocks on a Boat Go West

Bere Island

Ireland, 04. July 2023
Londubh leaving Lawrence Cove. John and Mairead changed plans slightly to go shopping in Castletownbere before heading for the Ilen River.
Beautifully recited by Mairead last night, this is in response to a painting of a lighthouse (in Germany) during an art exhibition.
Rock-a-bye was written following a conversation with a Scottish writer who was exploring the importance of lullabies, not just for infants, but also for adults.
Katie H was asking about what accommodation we have on the boat.
Our aft cabin technically sleeps 3, but we changed the original foam mattresses for sprung ones; it is such a comfortable bed!
In the saloon, there is a bench seat / bunk on one side.
On the other, the table can be lowered to create a double bunk.
There are also two further bunks in the fore peak; we use it as a store / dump room.
The chart table.
There is an inside helm (the seat is accessed by lifting half the chart table). We have a small wheel and throttle that can be attached, but by using an iPad as a second screen we can steer the boat by using the autohelm.
The galley.
The heads / shower.
