Because of the strong tides coming into the Quay, Kevin had been watching other boats and thinking about our departure quite a lot. It definitely paid off; he smoothly reversed off the quay and turned later.

The Minehead Lighthouse stands on steep cliffs above the Celtic Sea. Built in 1851, it was converted to electricity in 1964.
The Watch Tower on the cliff top at Ardmore, overlooking Ram Head. The original is Napoleonic, but the single storey lookout was built in one day in 1940, and used during World War II.
