The Marina has been a sheltered spot for Avalon, but we haven’t found the [service] yard very good; the one job they finally did was to replace the water pump which provides our taps. However, they didn’t check it worked. We had no water until we discovered the pipes were fitted the wrong way round.
Kevin checked the engine whilst I searched the yard for a super long hose to reach the nearest tap. We also replaced the fabric on the hatch blinds and bought some provisions.
When the sun appeared it was warm so we enjoyed lunch on deck.
We first saw Puffin from Walton and Frinton Yacht Club (our club) in Ardglass last year, and were pleased to see it nestled between two boats here. Once again, no owners aboard though.
A fiddly, time consuming learning process, but we’re pleased with the fabric Nantmor Blinds gave us….
….and very pleased with the result.
Another beautiful evening for a stroll into town to our favourite Indian restaurant, The Jaipur. Still light at 10.15 so a quick adjust of our lines before bed.
