We did one last fossick at Miners Cottage (more for the scones!) to get our one last fix.. then sadly had to leave The Gemfields .. what a great few days. Headed further inland passing thru Alpha and Jericho .. 2 towns in 280 kms !!
Stayed the night at Barcaldine..(Mark Holden!!) famous for the Tree of knowledge 🌳 ..where ALP first originated..A shearers strike wanting better working conditions back in the 1800’s formed unions which then went on to form the Labour Party. Just did a stopover in van park .. this park has damper and billy tea arvys.. Steve luvd it !
