Cadney Homestead was our first outback roadhouse. Did a one nighter here. We stayed here cos it was close to the Painted Desert. As soon as we unhitched, we headed straight to the coloured hills. We did a 190 km round trip on a dirt track to check out these hills! We drove east of Marla to Arckaringa Hills for about 2 hours one way.. did not see a single person or car!! We were literally in bumfk nowhere!! Once we got there, we walked to top of hills and all the colours were really pretty.. then we did the 2 hour dirt road trek home again.. the car left blue and came home red !!!
