Passed through Glendambo and arrived at CP in arvy. Weather has been fantastic. Hot sunny days tho the nights are chilly. Wandered around town.. checked out the underground bars and had John's pizza for dinner. Steve had the emu and roo pizza and reckons it was the best he has ever had !
Did all the touristy things the next day. Everything is built underground or tunneled into the hills..restaurants, museums, houses.. unbelievable!! You can't tell from the street except for the vents that pop out of hills ! Fascinating!! Faye's underground house was amazing. She and 2 gals dug this out by hand.. gobsmacking! Big winch is a lookout overlooking the town. Old Timers mine, Orthodox Church and crocodile Harry's underground home were all visited underground. Harry's was hilarious and quirky with all sorts of paraphernalia adorning the walls! (Girls bras n undies!)

Australia - Coober Pedy - Faye's underground dugout was originally one room owned by the postman. She and 2 buddies enlarged it by hand with picks n shovels back in the sixties and did amazing job!
