Hard to believe we’ve not even been here a week yet and have packed quite a bit in. Up at 4.30am to climb Sigiriya Rock…

Bought our tickets at 5.30 and climbed through the dark to reach the summit at 6am. A whooping 36 USD pp just to climb a rock! Although it a world heritage site and a pretty spectacular one at that.

Back to the hotel for a well earned breakfast and then reading by the pool. Popped out in the afternoon to sample a coconut rooti from one of the local restaurants (Chooti), it was ok but not as crispy as the ones we had in Thailand. I’m unfortunately stuck with one of my 48 hr migraines which started yesterday so my sweet cravings may be due to that…

Got to plan our next move as have no where to stay tomorrow but we’re heading to the East coast for some beach time.
