Frinton-On-Sea

United Kingdom, 02. June 2022
Moving from one sea to the other. Our trip back home coincided with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Titchmarsh Rowers decided to mark the occasion by rowing around Horsey Island in full regalia.
Stopping for tea, cucumber sandwiches, veggie sausage rolls and scones with jam and cream (provided by Brenda, Dawn and Karen)…..
….and a tot of Matt’s sloe gin, of course.
More celebrations at the hut.
Hoping this kestrel at the seafront is keeping the rat population at bay.
In the evening we cycled to the Naze to witness the lighting of one of the beacons around the country.
On the 3rd Connaught Avenue hosted a ‘street party’.
We also visited Katie, Fred and Caspar.
Sadly having hoped to help Ollie celebrate his 30th birthday on the 9th, he had to cancel after finally catching Covid. It seems, however, Lucy is looking after him well.
