Killiney

Ireland, 28. May 2022
Sorry to be leaving Malahide, but excited to be moving on.
Our voyage today: Malahide to Greystones. 19.8nm, with lunch at anchorage in Killiney Bay (13.9nm)
The marina was busy this morning for a race weekend. Jakub preparing to sail to Greystones too.
Looking towards Malahide Lagoon
Lambay Island.
Time for a cuppa.
Approaching Ireland’s Eye.
Ireland’s Eye.
Howth on the left, Ireland’s Eye to the right.
Lighthouse alert Andy! Howth from the sea side.
Howth Head. The cliff path, which we walked last year, is great.
Howth Head lighthouse, just before crossing Dublin Bay. Fortunately the ferry was the only thing using the shipping channels.
Approaching Dalkey Island.
Approaching Dalkey Sound.
Going through Dalkey Sound. Notice the rocks!
One side of the sound…
….and the other.
Leaving the sound behind.
Anchoring at Sorrento Point near to the Vico Baths. The area has many Italian names as it is supposed to be reminiscent of Naples. There was a constant stream of swimmers coming down to the steps, and some naked sunbathers.
Lunch at anchor.
