Denham .. most westerly town in Oz and the main town of Shark Bay. Saw rain today for first time since Adelaide at end of May ! It actually didn't stop all afternoon and night .. so just took a walk into town with the brolly! Was actually really excited to see rain again !!
Next day we drove to Monkey Mia..renowned for being one of the worlds best and reliable places to interact with dolphins.. NOT ! Dolphins visit daily and there are super strict rules for feeding. We got up early as first feeding starts at 745.. still waiting at 9 .. there were a few swimming around but they didn't want to play today .. so we had a dud monkey Mia experience! Had dinner n drinkies in town with Trev n Josie to check out the nightlife.. not much here either!
Next day , we let down our tyres n did a 4WD trek around Francois Peron National Park. Red dirt driving leading to be most beautiful coastal cliffs, beaches and scenery. Skipjack Point was my fave .. high on a cliff top seeing the red cliffs meet the ocean.. it was noice it was noice ! Also visited Big lagoon, Herald Bight (boggy beach), Gregory's (where the boys thru a line in) and Cape Peron (beach with cormant birds).. was a great day and loads of fun 4WDing.
