Port Hedland .. mining central.. one of the largest export ports in da WORLD! The drive in was very industrial..red dirt, heaps of silos, road trains and piles of salt! (Salt mining too!). All the houses had red tin roofs (its like they just gave up on trying to keep everything not red !) Steve picked up some work at local car yard so first night was a free camp at turf club.. did the pushy ride for dinner to yacht club. Then we moved to park for 3 nights that was at Cookes Point. Twas a tight squeeze in but got there! Next few days were biking, fishing and more a chilling.
