So headed to Mudgee.. a long 180 k drive through windy (not windy!) roads from Scone...planned to stay one night but ended up 3! Steve had a quick job to do..First night we headed off to the local Mudgee show.. Dagwood dogs, the zipper, a rodeo and some fine looking fruit!!
Great dinner at rsl .. like a mini twinnies. Next day I wandered around the town hub and faffed. Who would have thought ole Mudge has the best thai massage evs 🤗 on our last day , Steve borrowed a metal detector and we went fossicking for gold ..modern style! So off we went to find river beds and hopefully our fortune! The Gulgong area was the spot where they found the first nuggie. Visited a gold mine at Red Hill and had best steak Sanger.
