Travel Season
The most pleasant time to visit is in many regions of South Africa in April and May and September, October and November. Then the temperatures are mild and there are only few rainfalls. The Cape region is optimal in the period from October to March. The areas in the northeast and the subtropical east coast, however, are best in the months from June to August. July to October is South Africa's time for safaris. During this time it is dry in the great national parks and the animals are relatively easy to observe at the waterholes.
