Travel Season

New Zealand has a very varied climate, which means that there is not just one singular ideal travel time. Each season has its advantages. In general the north and the east coast get more sun and less rain compared to the south or the west coast on the South Island. Overall a good travel time is between October and April, with the weather being best in most regions.
