Travel Season

Although you can travel in Italy well in any season, the period from April to on June is best. It's sunny but not too hot, the landscape blooms and the summer tourism has not yet begun. The main tourist season is July to August. In the south, the summer is long and hot, winters are mild and swimming is possible here from April to October. Only from September on you should expect rain. The north is protected by the Alps from the extreme northern European winter.
